I'm fully cognizant that, of the small number of people who read my journal, most just won't care.

However, I've labored long and dark hours on my game, and it's meant to dazzle linguists around the world.

So, please check it out. You probably won't be able to get far, but keep in mind that Google is your friend. If you take a look and like it, post a comment here, so I can collect due praise. Later on, I may even provide clues (but to keep it fair, not until it's been open a few days, since linguists will actually be donating to get access to clues...)

Anna Nalick - Breathe (2 AM)

(no subject)

I'm being bad and not posting.

One of these days, I'll get around to it. However, tonight is just going to include some hot Sims 2 action.

Considering that I bought the damned game but haven't even had time to even try to start playing it.< sigh>.

it's crazy how fast the days are slipping past me. i just checked out my journal, since i felt like it'd been a few days since i posted anything, and it was over a week! augh!

i'm really looking forward to our vacation. we leave for alabama in 15 more days. as ryan said, "this one is different". i mean, we're still staying with grandma and papa, so it's not like we can sleep in the same bed (...crumbs!), but it's going to be the first vacation the two of us will take where we have a long drive, and a whole week together. we went up to see his folks in august, but it was only for 5 days, and...it was different.

both of us are really excited about it. i'm mostly excited to go to the library and get out 4,562 books, take them with me, and tell everyone at LL "SEE ya!" for the week. no programming, no photoshopping, no posting, no IMing...woot!

honestly, i'm going to try and grab an AOL demo CD and get some sort of access while we're down there, because as sad as it is, i don't think i can live without the internets for more than a day or two. we'll see.

also, on friday night, ryan and i are scheduled (doom...doom...DOOM!) to babysit. for a two-year-old. i'm not exactly thinking it's that big a deal, but on the other hand, for a couple in our type of situation, it should at least be food for thought and a vehicle for conversation.

other than that, things are generally all right. i'm working too much, but hopefully this summer things will improve a bit. i think i'm going to forget about the golf course idea, largely because that would make 3 jobs rather than 2, and that's just stressful, and...although i'd love the free golf and the being outside, i'm not sure it wouldn't be more stress (monetarily and mentally) than it's worth. but...but...summer evening! want to be out there!

i won't have to take a class over the summer, although i might start collecting data/researching for my thesis, but i think that not having evenings tied up all the time (in addition to my 40 hours per week) will actually turn out better. plus, i'll be moving out and it'll be all apartment-y happiness.

anyhow, i'm going to get back and do some more work, and then some homework, and then go to class later this evening. i feel a wee bit crummy and totally wish i didn't have to go, but...ditching is bad, y'know?

This made me laugh my ass off:

"If you like a guy, show your interest in the usual ways and let him reciprocate or not, but don't start acting all Rules-y if it's not you. I mean, you don't have to introduce yourself by belching your name, but if he belches and you comment, "Nice reverb,"and then he gives you The Disapproving Eyebrow, he's not the guy. The guy who's all, "Oh, thanks -- I can't usually torque a Pepsi too well but I got lucky with that one"? He's the guy. In fact, step off that guy -- he's mine."

Thanks, Sars

cranky much?

A little tale of woe from last week. Recap: pharmacy monkey (with drugs)...

Now, keep in mind that what follows could have good service for the guy. Normally if someone calls to ask if a script has been received/filled, I have to check in the system. In this case, I had just printed the label for this customer, and so knew for a fact that we had his stuff, and was able to respond immediately.

    Rockapella - Feeling Fine

in re: blacktigr's last comment

so, tomorrow night, i'm going to do some roleplaying. i think i'll enjoy it as much or more as i used to, and fortunately the GM (ed) has agreed to try and work around me so that i'm not necessarily devoting every single friday night to RPing, either. yeah, the whole real life thing. anyhow, a better post to follow, after i get out of work.

Dave Matthews Band - Crash Into Me

(no subject)

i keep telling myself i'm going to work up the energy (and find the time!) to do a full post, but so far...no dice.

however, i did get everything worked out yesterday so that i'm now taking 7 credits, but am therefore going to get the shiny pretty loan from the federal government that will allow me to pay off my car and credit cards, and start saving to move out. hopefully in june.

i have some funky interior design ideas that i want to bounce off everyone, however. for example:

i want to save enough dead CDs to cover a (small) wall (like, one that's part of an alcove-type corner) and then attach all the CDs to posterboard, paint the whole thing, and put it up on a wall. and when I say paint, i mean like several contrasting or interesting colors, not all one shade. that has the advantage of coming right down when we move out but being reasonably cool and funky.

i also want to find either a glass-topped table or just a plainish coffee/side table and adorn it with those glass marbles you can get at a crafts store. that one might be so-so.

and this may be a bit too pretentious. in the starbucks near my house, they have painted a wall a dark crimson or cranberry or purple or something, and have some sort of poetry or prose written on the wall. i want to paint a wall a base shade, pick some favorite lyrics, and paint them onto the wall. i want to do it in my own bedroom, however, not in one of the "public" rooms.

so, what do you all think? sweetfreesia, would this idea be stuffed in a locker by the bigger, bully ideas?
